Holy Dog Salon offers DOG-SITTING and GROOMING services only for small and medium dogs (up to 15kg). Your dog is part of your family and you want the best for him. Our priority is your dog’s well-being.

DOG-SITTING:

In the day care, we’ll work through positive reinforcement making your dog spend a good day. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that your furry friend is in good hands. We achieve this by giving all the dogs a routine: twice daily walks (for full day dog-sitting), private dog spaces, no individual cages, professional and qualified care and this… just at your door step.

Holy Dog Salon offers two dog-sitting options:

  • Half day (08:30-13:15 or 13:15-18:00)

  • Full day (08:30-18:00)

Note that dog-sitting is only possible for small-medium dogs (of around 15kg).

Benefits from the day care:

  • Less separation anxiety

  • Better balanced-dog

  • Good for socialization

  • Less reactive to other dogs/humans

  • Feeling relaxed in the evening

  • Less anxious, scared, shy…

  • Small groups of up to 5 dogs.

A normal day routine would be:

  • 08:30-09:00 – Dogs’ arrival at Holy Dog Salon

  • 09:00-10:00 – Walk

  • 10:00-14:00 - Rest & play time

  • 14:00-15:00 – Walk

  • 15:00-17:30 – Rest & play time

  • 17:30-18:00 – Dogs’ collection from Holy Dog Salon

DOG GROOMING:

We also offer grooming services for your dog’s well-being. Because grooming is a need, not a luxury. In Holy Dog Salon we use calming aids. We infuse the space with calming pheromones so that the dogs feel more relaxed. Dogs are happier after grooming due to the many health benefits and overall cleanliness that it provides. Grooming also provides an opportunity to be social with other dogs and groomers. Although some dogs may feel down after grooming, this quickly goes away and they truly appreciate the benefits of grooming..

In Holy Dog Salon we have three different grooming options:

  • Paw care: it includes nail clipping and cushion shaving.

  • Wash & dry: it includes a bath, hair drying and brushing.

  • Full grooming: it includes ear cleaning, nail clipping, cushion shaving, genital part shaving, wash (using the right shampoo for your dog’s skin and hair type), hair drying, brushing and hair trimming/retouching/cutting.

We recommend the first grooming at 12-weeks of age. It’s important that the puppy got all his vaccines so that his immune system is strong. The very first grooming appointment is an introduction to the puppy and the owner to the world of grooming. The puppy with be introduced to a bath, blow drying, nail clipping, and slight trimming.. If your puppy has a positive experience at first they will not have a problem with coming back.

How to prepare the first grooming:

Every day for a few weeks leading up to the appointment, take the time to:

  • Run your hands up and down your dog's legs

  • Handle your dog's ears, mouth, and face (specifically near the eyes)

  • Brush your dog all over, including his legs, body, and face

  • Wiggle and massage your dog's toenails

  • Gently hold your dog's tail.

How often should you wash a dog?

At a minimum, wash your dog at least once every three months. You can wash your dog as frequently as every other week (with a gentle shampoo, it could be even more frequent). When in doubt, use your judgment — if your dog starts to smell, it's probably time for a bath.

Should I feed my dog before or after grooming?

If you usually feed your dog in the morning, refrain from doing so the day of their groom. Grooming can be stressful, and being nervous can cause your dog to get the runs or even throw up. Having food in his stomach before getting groomed is not a good idea. Please skip the meal until you take them home.

It's possible to bring the dog the whole day to Holy Dog Salon, so that he can enjoy the grooming and the day-care the same day for a small supplement.

Come and experience it!
